The new Hitman game has suffered a delay, and will now be launching in March of 2016.
The game was originally slated for a December 8th launch, but the game has large ambitions for the title that developer IO Interactive says will take a few more months to complete. Without that time, all of the planned content will not be available at launch. According to their blog, IO Interactive stated that " Hitman is the biggest venture we've ever undertaken," and not just in terms of scope, but the size of the world as well. For comparison, just one of the stages in Hitman is 6 times larger than the biggest stage in Hitman: Absolution.
Delays are never a bad thing for a game, but fans sometimes feel disappointed when they can’t get their hands on a game that was intended to be finished much sooner . However, this fall is packed to the brim with upcoming games, so perhaps this delay will help Hitman not only with quality, but also sales numbers. We'll find out in in March.
