Shuhei Yoshida Says Handheld Market "Not Healthy" Enough For a New Vita

After a Q&A panel with president of SCE Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida, it doesn’t look like we will be getting a new PlayStation Vita anytime soon, if at all. According to Yoshida, the handheld gaming market just isn’t “healthy for now” with the rising popularity of mobile games everywhere.

This doesn’t come as a huge surprise however, as there has been an obvious lack of first and third-party games on the handheld. It seems it’s going to stay that way for the foreseeable future with no announcements of any first party games for the system coming out of E3 or Gamescom this year. Being a huge Vita fan myself, this disappoints me, but let us know how you feel in the comments below.
