At the Tokyo Game Show last month, publisher From Software announced that Bloodborne will be getting an expansion pack, titled "The Old Hunters". The expansion was set to release on November 25, 2015 in North America, and November 27th in Europe. It was announced today that Bloodborne will now be getting a Game of the Year Edition, with the full game plus the expansion available on the same date.
The PS4 exclusive received raving reviews when Bloodborne released back in February of this year, specifically applauding its beautiful graphics, level design, and an improved, faster combat system compared to the Demon Souls and Dark Souls franchises.
As stated on the European PlayStation Blog , The Old Hunters will include new environments, outfits, weapons, and of course an expansion on the original story. The DLC (downloadable content) will stand alone for $19.99 USD, with no price available yet for the Game of the Year edition. You can watch the trailer for The Older Hunters here:
Personally, I love Game of the Year editions, because I get the chance to play games that I missed out on with added content. Am I alone on this front? Did you survive your playthrough of Bloodborne the first time around? Will you be buying the expansion pack? Let us know in the comments.
